EMPOWERING PEOPLE IN SOUTH AFRICAN WINE

EMPOWERING PEOPLE IN SOUTH AFRICAN WINE

We believe the South African wine and brandy industry should reflect our country, diverse, inclusive, and full of opportunity. At South Africa Wine, our People Development team helps make this a reality by supporting learning, growth, and skills development across the sector. Whether you’re just starting or looking to grow your career, we’re building pathways for people to enter and thrive in the industry. We do this through bursaries, graduate placements, on-the-job learning, digital training, and mentorship opportunities.

Our LMS connects employers, learners, training providers and sponsors to manage and track learning and skills development in one place.

Our bursary programme supports viticulture, oenology, wine business studies and more. Graduates can apply for a one-year placement with a South Africa Wine member to gain practical industry experience.

We assist businesses with annual training reporting to SETAs (Skills Education Training Authorities), helping them unlock funding and meet compliance requirements.

SAWIPB gives practitioners in the wine industry access to registration, resources, and career pathways, ensuring your skills and experience are recognised and developed over time.
